Fade In--The Making of Insurrection

In 1998 we got the film Star Trek: Insurrection. While it isn’t among the favorite films of the fans, it is important that it was the first big screen outing for veteran Trek writer, Michael Piller. He detailed his experiences in writing the screenplay in his book Fade In: The Making of Star Trek Insurrection.

This week Shawn, Rick, Scott, and Dave took on the task of reading this book that is referenced by Star Trek fans frequently. We talk about Piller, his writing, and what we thought of his early ideas for the film. We also talk a lot about what the film ultimately became.

If you would like to read the book yourself you can download it as a free PDF here or you can buy the hardback print version on Amazon.
